Freibad Dondertstraße 25, Kevelaer, NRW, GermanyOn June 29, at 2:30 pm, the 1st regional Protestant baptism festival in the church district will celebrate its premiere: Pastor Karin Dembek (Kevelaer), Pastor Yvonne Brück (Issum) and Vicar Cristina Kielich (Issum) will welcome an as yet unknown number of baptized children with their parents and relatives at the outdoor pool on Dondertstraße. There is no dress code, everyone comes as they please. Whether in a suit or a bathing suit, or one thing after another. Anyone who has not yet been baptized can register for a Protestant baptism," says Pastor Dembek. Those who have been baptized can still be given a blessing as a reminder of their baptism. Not only baptized persons from Kevelaer and Issum are welcome, people from neighbouring parishes can also register their children or themselves for baptism. Registration for baptism is now possible at the parish offices of the Issum or Kevelaer parishes.
